Students Investing
in Students
Botetourt Yearbooks is built on the belief that all students of all ages desrves a high quality Yearbook publication that they are able to look back on in the years to come. To bring the community together and create excellent publications, we came up with the One Yearbook program. We equip qualified High School Yearbook Staff and leadership members with the proper training to join us in creating Middel School Yearbook publications within the same district. This program not only helps create even better publications for both instituions, it prepares Middle School age students for High School, as well as a possible future in Photojournalism in High School and even in life. We also want to give Middle School students good role models to look up to, and even friends going into High School.
Getting Started
While we want to bring the community together the best we can, we do have a few requirements to become a part of One Yearbook.
1: Districts// We require both educational instutions to be within the same school district. If a school is near the county/city line, we may adjust our restrictions.
2: Partnership// We require both the Middle and High School to partner with us for Yearbook production. We want to bring the community together the best we can, however, we cannot breach contract or inpead other recogntion companies.
3: Student Requirements// All Middle School Photojournalism students may participate. However, High School Photojournalism/Yearbook Staff students must 1// be 16 years of age. 2// hold a valid Virginia Drivers License. 3// be able to provide themselves transportation to and from the Middle School. 4// hold 1+ year as a Yearbook Staff member and/or be in a leadership postion in their Yearbook Staff. 5// Fill out an application for ONE YEARBOOK and be accepted.
